Well, this year the software got longer and more obtuse. Way too many things that 99% of people don't use. Otherwise, by guessing a lot, I got it done, and it was accepted..

I am a long-time user of Turbo Tax. I switched to HR Block because using TurboTax would have required me to switch my computer to Windows 11. HR Block is at least as good as Turbo Tax. Looks like I will be using it from now on! (Unless they try to make me switch to Windows 11.)

We have used this software for many years now and are usually satisfied with it. However, this year my only negative comment is that the software let us request a check from Federal. We got a letter stating that checks are no longer an option for Federal. In looking into this, we found out this was in effect since September 2025! You would think with all the software updates to the program, it would have alerted us of this. Now, instead of giving the routine number and other bank account info for direct deposit, it is requiring a photo id and a mess of other info.
What a shame your software couldn’t let us know this simple fact!

I have used this software for many years. Now I have K-1 forms to input and this software does not seem to support them. Furthermore, the AI help interface is a waste of time. When asked specific questions, the only answer I would get is I cannot answer that question. Once it even asked if I wanted help with a certain subject, when I said yes, said it couldn't help with that question. I probably will use a different application next year.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
