I used Turbotax in the past and was not happy with it. I switched to H&R and I think it is easier. Second time I've used and I have no reason to try anything else. Seems more intuitive than Turbotax. Everything imported and populated right. It cost less as a bonus.

I use this product every year. Sometimes it can be a bit confusing, especially when I jump ahead of the interview process to enter data then go back (my fault). But the H&R Block Deluxe 2024 (and state) worked just fine. It pulled in all the forms / data from Schwab as expected.

I've been using H & R Block since 2018- always works great. I believe it's easy to follow thru if you have some tax intelligence. Otherwise I think you would find any of the tax software difficult.

This is the edition that meets our needs. We have retirement income and significant investment income. We live in a state with state income tax where various types of income are treated differently than federally.
The federal interview was updated for everything that we use by early February. The interview was easily understood and documentation was complete. The state interview was less clear and documentation was
less complete. I had to get a couple of questions answered on my state department of revenue website, but that was fairly easy.
