This is the seventh year for me and last. Second year in a row that IRS has refused and required me to send a paper return. Additionally you double me for the State download also refused by the state.

While most of the process goes rather well, I have a very unpleasant experience every year with stock sales.
I don't see why I have to go into every stock sale to verify what was already imported in 1099 forms by HR software. One year I had 200+ stock sales and had to manually enter every one, and I don't know why.
I keep wanting to go back to the "other" guy, but their prices are way higher. I never had to handle individual stock sales with them.

I was satisfied with the results. I have used tax cut for several years now and I have had accurate results each year. I double check results and they consistently prove to be accurate. For instance, I used the California franchise tax board on line program, by filling in the amounts I intended to report on their application and they were the same as the results tax cut rendered. I am pleased with the service tax cut provided me and I have confidence in the accuracy.

I used this program since it became available. That was the year I verified the results comparing with the return filed by a pricey Tax Preparer. To my amazement it came up with a substantial decrease in Federal taxes due.
After serious checking I verified that the Preparer was WRONG and the program was right. I filed an amendment and got back more than I paid for the Preparer.
I used this program since. It assisted me in the years I had a business, when I retired, and up to now, as we file as seniors. Never had to go through an IRS review.
This year I decided to e-file. I tried last year but the requirements to verify my identity were too complex and I resorted to paper filing. I tried this year again and was surprised at how easy it has become by using data from the previous year. A genial simplifying solution and apparently quite secure.

Errors in the software regarding investment uploads. Help center, including online chat and phone of zero value. Reps read canned responses. As of 3/10, the uploading for certain financial institutions was still in error.
