As a retiree, my taxes are somewhat simpler now but the constant changes in tax law are difficult to keep up with. My accountant retired 3 years ago so me and H & R Block have been doing it ourselves and the results are great. The in-depth questions help confirm that I am including all income and expenses and also confirm the standard deduction is to my benefit versus itemizing. The program and e-file are not only easy to use but save time. Having the backstop of a real company is reassuring should you get audited. The price is a bargain, all things considered.

I used the Deluxe version to do my taxes and my Mom:s taxes. The software was not easy to use for my IRA QCD and my Mom's Long term care insurance inputs. The price was good but the user interface needs work.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worked like tax prep software should. It was a little weird that it stopped me in the middle of the transmission process to update the software. Then charged me twice for the state filing. However it does look like they are getting that straightened out.
