Overall great; search features need improvement

It works well every year to guide me through the many complexities of my return. But its search functions are clunky. For instance, I tried to search for IRA Distributions and nothing came up. Eventually I tried Distributions, IRA, and then it came up. Like a throwback to early internet days. Also, if I have a question on how my entry on the actual form got to be what it is, there's no search for that. Again, I have to try to guess where in the "interview" that item was asked about. We should be able to search the forms themselves.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have used the H&R Block software now for about 10 years and find the program fairly easy to use and use. The auto load aspect from last years taxes saves time and pre loads the basic data into the program. I have not had much success with the pulling in of the data automatically from my interest bearing accounts and just do it all manually, but otherwise, its all good.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

Could not e-file due to an evident software issue.

Due to a software problem, this is the first year that I had to submit one of my returns (a state return) on paper instead of e-filing it. The suggested proposal to submit it electronically involved removing identifying personal information such as social security numbers, submitting the return for troubleshooting, and then re-entering the information for final submission.

Never was prompted to enter QCD amount. Analysis check would not allow me to clear the bizarre request to enter a deceased SSN. Confusing and frustrating.

Bought the Delux. Better value than equivalent Turbo Tax, also no need to open an account as with Turbo Tax therefore it is less intrusive.
Easy to use , although when verifying imported stock sales having to check one by one is somewhat frustrating.
They did fix one item from 2023 allowing for an entry of "various" for foreign tax paid when there are multiple countries rather than having to list each country.
