I have always done my own taxes. I used to use a different software, but switched to H&R Block years ago when there was a problem with the other software being hacked. I have never looked back.

I've been using your Deluxe Software package for over ten years with little or no issues. This year was different. Every time I open the app I get a message that a 58meg update needs to be downloaded and installed. So I download and install as requested. This is followed by a msg to close the app so it can be updated. Upon reopening the app I'm back to the first message. Called support (AI was worthless) and was told to restart my computer. The first time I opened the app after restarting it was fine. Second time I was back to the 'loop'. I learned to answer 'cancel' to the first question and avoid the loop. Went to 'check for updates' and it reported no updates. I wonder if others are experiencing the same issue?
On my Federal return I found the section under TAXES that deals with RMD's totally confusing. Going to HELP was useless. Found the entire thing frustrating. Called support and was instructed to go to the H&R website for answers. Sure do miss the days of talking to a live human being. Hope and pray next year's return will go more smoothly.

Worked mostly OK, but I had one issue. I tried to calculate whether or not I owed a penalty for underpayment. The software led me to Form 2210, which then referred me to a "Schedule AI". This form would not display, and I don't know whether or not my return is correct.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works well but bug for reporting foreign pension

The program worked well but I found a bug in reporting a foreign pension. Even though I checked "foreign address" in the 1099-R worksheet the program was prompting me for the Payers TIN which does not exist. Other than that, everything worked as expected.
