MESSED UP Again, Software Fails to warn when a 1099 is entered as received but has the "taxable amount not calculated" box checked. The software just ignores the 1099. I failed to detect it this year!!
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to prepare

I was unable to use HR Block 2023 return since last year I was unable to save it because I was not able to get your method of saving it. Therefore, I was stuck with my paper return, which slowed me down.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

Extreme difficulty reflecting QVC portion of RMD

I’ve used this software for many years and had no issues with same. As I am over 73 and now report my RMD from IRAs I also now make my large charitable contributions via IRA as QCDs. Your software does not take me to a point whereby I can easily reflect the QCD from gross distribution as reported on my 1099s. I spent hours on the phone with your agents who tried to walk me through the process. It is in no way straightforward or even slightly intuitive. I am an educated retired professional and have always used your software for filing. I will now have to file amended returns for this year and last to try to gain the missed refund amounts for those two years. I could not file an amended return electronically as the refund amount reflected was grossly in error in the eFile form and only correct in the printed form. Your agent suggested I file manually because of this since both of us rechecked entries and were unable to understand where the error was coming from.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
