This is my second year using this tax software and I have found it to be simple to use. It is so nice to be able to do my own taxes and not hire an accountant. I would suggest that it could be easier to go back to specific sections easier than it is now. I spent too much time going back to sections to check information entered.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

For the most part it was a good performance, but it had a couple of hiccups which took some effort to get the program past the problem. One was with the importing of one of the 1099 forms (dividend I think), where one (or more) of the forms got filled in with several zeroes and the entries needed to be blank in order for the program not to detect them as errors. The other problem I encountered had to do with the entry of property taxes paid to another state. Here again the program got cofused, I think it was looking for income tax not real estate taxes, although during the questioning it did not make it clear what it was looking for. To fix this, again entries in forms needed zeroes to be blanked out. It took some guess work and time to figure this out. Other than that I had no complaints the program worked well.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents

I have used H&R Block (and Taxcut before that) for many years it's a solid application, easy to use. I have been very satisfied with the results. I do feel that the program could be stronger in handling partnership K1's and stock options.
