Over the past decade, I have relied upon H&R Block’s Deluxe Tax Software to import Form 1099-B from Merrill Lynch to compile my taxes; however, this year, I had to input the data into that form without the ability to download via your software because it did not accommodate a link to Merrill Lynch—hence—I will never purchase your product again!
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This year went smoothly and quickly. During the review process I was asked about a few forms that supposedly had errors, none of which I needed for my case (such as declaration of various odd earnings). That is a minor bug to correct. I deleted the forms and proceeded and everything went well. Refunds were the largest ever. One prediction: you will need to lower your prices to compete with AI next year. AI will do taxes either free or as part of a minimal subscription. Could that NOT happen?

Overall, very good product with two exceptions:
1) Downloaded stock transactions. (1099B). I was happy with the download process but I was asked to verify the accuracy of the transactions but had absolutely no idea how to do so. I ended up trusting that the download and assumed it was correct.
2) I would have happily paid for an H&R Block person to review but there was no phone number to contact, and you "virtual assistant" was of no help for this particular problem

I liked the software but is not quite as smooth to use as turbo tax. I found it to be a bit more reliant on the user knowing which parameters need to have entries made but I had no problems working my way through the data entry. I did have a problem importing a W2 form since the form was easily found but the state withholding was not entered. I found this out when I went looking for why my state tax owed was too high. When I corrected the W2 form the tax owed was then corrected.
