Great except if not paying property tax

I always by as soon as it comes out in December and have since about 2005. it has helped me for many times like in 2012 when renting parents home while in nursing home and then selling with five siblings getting a share. It is really good when social security is added to total taxes and figuring amount to pay, it does all the figuring. my wife and I together only have one income but Social Security is adds itself and two more incomes making for a tax to pay vs with just the one we would get over $1.5K back but always have to pay +/- $500 and taxed at the 85% level. Things are so complicated even with a very, very simple return. With E-File at the end with all the security functions built in, it is safer than doing on your self.
Pros: Easy to prepare

Too expensive and to slow to make updates to known

Too slow to update issues with software. Even 4-5 weeks after my taxes have been filed the software is updating. It was the same last year. HRBlock needs to do better.
For the price next year I will probably go back to TurboTax after switching to HRB 5 years ago

Purchased the digital download and was able to install and start using the program without any issues. Make sure you check for updates after the install. As in previous versions the program takes you step by step through completing your returns and even files them digitally, if you so desire. Printing and mailing them are also available. Walks you through saving your completed returns to have for reference.

H&R Block Tax Software - Reliable but Basic State

H&R Block software…the only tax software I ever used. Very reliable. That said, I find the State software to be lacking. While I use the tax software to calculate my CT State Return, I manually enter it online. The printed H&R Block State Return does NOT translate very well to online entry. It’s very poor and requires significant extra effort.
