For the most part this product has good lead through even for the beginner. For the few that know a little something it is clumsy to look at the underlying forms to verify exactly how entered data is being portrayed. I have used this product for decades and do recommend it

The product is great for simple, straightforward returns. If you are not involved with RMD’s, Qcd’s, and other things that require more than a basic understanding of tax law and the forms that make little sense with their instructions, then use it. Else, find a CPA that has a good reputation.

Great Guidance Common Forms - Farm Form Difficult

I like the format and guidance that H&R Block software provides. The guidance got me through most of the common entries (i.e. interest, dividends, capital gains); however, I did have an issue with filling out the farm rental income form. A grayed out entry was difficult to determine what I needed to do and the program would not allow me to submit my 1040 with a forced entry. I finally figured it out after right clicking on the grayed out entry to fill out another form.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
