ONLY 4 because when it came down to the checking for accuracy at the end, there were forms that appeared that I did not understand. It seemed like the program was assuming that I am retired,and receiving social security, but I am not. I tried to delete the form since that was an option, but it would not delete.

2024 TAX PROGRAM FOR FED AND CALIFORNIA TAXES:
There was virtually no help for figuring the 2025 estimated FED tax.
There was ZERO help for figuring the California estimated 2025 tax.
Luckily I knew what to do and where to find the required info and did it.
Previous years programs have provided guidance; the 2024 program did not.

I have used H&R Block tax software for several years now. It has been a good product overall and has made preparing our taxes pretty straightforward. Some of the descriptive details for state tax credits could use improvement. It seems like this information was easier to understand a few years ago. Part of it may be due to the verbiage from the state tax documentation. The tax credits seem to be fairly unchanged, but the language has changed. Perhaps hoping that taxpayers will be confused and miss tax credits that are available to them. Otherwise, the documentation is good.

I wish the Deluxe version had better handling of returns that include K-1 forms. Every year I've had K-1 forms, the software is unable to handle some of the items in my K-1.
