The app is strong and reliable. No technical issues or problems for the past several years. Most topics are very well crafted and provide great help when needed. However, doing personal filing, they can definitely improve the K1 block 16 with ‘V’ checked area. This section is still very vague and provides very little help or resources to help navigate through it.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

Issues remain with double sided printing of forms. Also not good options to have both a need to amortize the premium on a bond and bought a bond between interest payments. Otherwise a quite excellent product.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

It is easy to use, and consistent with prior years which means that everything is where one would expect to find it based upon prior years tax preparation. The most important thing is consistency. It makes preparing my return very easy and it handles the computation of the amount of taxes due very nicely.

Incorrect Accuracy Checks - Obsolete Worksheets

Program worked well except for accuracy check. Potential errors flagged were very frustrating. Turns out the accuracy check was using outdated tax forms that had changed for tax year 2024. It was referring to non-existent worksheets. This took me considerable time to figure out. I now have much less faith in the software I have been using for years.
Cons: Time consuming

I believe this is the second time I have commented on this excellent tax software, for this 2024 tax year, and it worked out quite well for us. Even though I have use it for many , many years, since the days of DOS, it still remains my go to tool for completeness, accuracy and ease of use. I volunteer for the AARP TaxAide but have not tried to use that program for my personal taxes because of my success with H&R Block. Next year I may even opt for the more fuller program if I can find a good cost deal somewhere. Keep up the great work!

I have used H&R block software for several years, changing from Turbo Tax. This year the software presented a challenge that it would not always update and when I went to send it in I was told I had to update before sending it. I updated the software and then when I tried to open it again, it said it could not find the file! I checked everywhere on the computer but to no avail. I had already put in emails, bank information, etc... and ended up having to start all over. Not happy!
