I have used H&R Block Deluxe Software for the last 4 years because, after the first year of use, the software uses that return file to generate your starting return file for the next year. This is a real time saver and also serves as a handy checklist to make sure you don't forget something. If you have some new stuff that reared its ugly head during the current tax year, you must remember to add it into the new return. The software instructions are well written and easy to follow except for Limited Partnership inputs. These can be very complex and it is hard for a software program to be totally responsive to all LP's that are out there. In order to report your LP correctly, you may have to manually add IRS forms, the results in you having to file a paper return.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

Zero stars should be an option. I paid double what I normally would, and it was full of bugs. Checked boxes that can't be unchecked. Endless loops of unclearable errors. I've been using your software for years and years but after this, it's time to look at other options.
