I believe that this is my 20th year of using HR Block for my Federal and State taxes. My experience is that the programs continue to improve year after year. I find that the program's explanation and guide features are of ultimate value. And, without a doubt, the automatic review of questionable inputs on the tax forms is beyond tax reporting time saving and lifesaving. I purchased a Chromebook computer in 2025 and wish that HR Block could provide a way for me to receive the software for Chromebook and a manner to input the previous year's tax return onto my Chromebook.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've been using H&R Block software for decades; Basic at first and now the Deluxe version. Both versions are excellent and easy to use. Did not have any issues with the e-file and completing the tax filing process.

I used the software for 2025 returns. Pure garbage. The Feds refused my return for incorrect entries in a section of a form that I didn't have any entries in. there must have been zeros entered by Block that shouldn't have been there. I looked for help on the Block website. Wasn't any!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've been using H&R Block (previously TaxCut) for over 25 years. The first year I used it I saved $1200 I didn't know about. I rely on it heavily! There are some things I wish were explained a little more clearly, but I usually figure it out.
