I've used this product for several years. It's easy. Follow the step by step instructions and you're done. It even downloads 1099 info from banks and brokerages. Those with many transactions will find this a huge time and effort saver.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

I've used this product since it eas Kiplonger Tax Cut. I like it, however the Energy Tax Credit section was confusing. The titles used for different kind of energy projections lead me to make entries that were etong. It took two rounds of corrections, the irs accepted it. The errors were nit substantive from a taxes owed view, just wrong boxes checked.

There is a technical problem with the 2025 Federal software. The current version of the program is using the old SALT limitation of $10,000 when computing the state and local tax deduction for purposes of the Net Investment Income tax on Form 8960 line 9b. You should be using $40,000. The program is using the correct SALT limitation of $40,000 for the itemized deductions on Sch A. I hope you can help!
Pros: Easy to prepare

I have been using your software for over 10 years and have been satisfied with it. However, this year's version has been nothing but frustrating because of its lack of flexibility. I initially made an input error regarding a zip code and did not notice. when finalizing the return and error message regarding the fact the zip code needed 5 digits. I corrected the error on the W-2. the software is in a cycle that does not recognize the correction preventing me to. e-file the return.
