The interface remains to be low tech. Lessons need to be taken from TurboTax. Navigation, printing, saving files leave much to be desired. No improvement in these areas over last year.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

My experience is much improved from years ago where the application corrupted my return and had to start from the beginning because even the saved data was corrupted. Another previous problem was where a fix had to be downloaded (apple). This year it went very smooth and the application guided me through

Unexpected Issue with state return E-Filing

This is my 8th year with HRB. 7 smooth successful years. BUT this year HRB software could not handle my wife's passing last year for my STATE return. Hence could not E-File my state return. The HRB instructions for mailing my state return did NOT mention 1099-R's so I did not include them. I now suspect this is another issue with HRB software
