Works fairly well but has some annoyances. First, "save as PDF does not work." Second, time it takes to install updates is too long.

I have bought this product for about 10 years now, but the 2025 version is not so good. Whenever I tried to update the product, I got a "cannot connect to server" error message. The message suggested that I go to the product update website and download the update. I did that, but it was an unnecessary step. And I had to do this step for every update.
And to make matter worse, I got the same error message when i tried to download the state version. I went to your website for the PA state download, but it never showed up. In fact as of today, the state version still doesn't show in the list of state. I kept playing around with your website and somehow (I'm not sure what I did) until I was able to download the PA state program.
I have no problems connecting to other financial websites, so I don't know what the problem really is. This error is very frustrating to deal with. I'm not sure that I will purchase the 2026 version or not. I don't want to deal with this hassle.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This was my first year using electronic submission of my Taxes. I sent both Federal and State taxes in on January 30, 2026. Both refunds were in my checking account on February 9, 2026. I am sure glad I did this because there was one State deduction I did not know about that came up during to program use. Ease of use is one of the great things about the software. I am very pleased with the software and is well worth the price. Will surely use it in the future.

The software worked pretty well for me. My only issue - it indicated that one could request to receive a refund by check, though it would be a longer wait. But a letter from IRS seems to say that ALL refunds must be by direct deposit. My further research indicates that exceptions are only made when direct deposit is absolutely impossible. If that's true, your software needs to clarify its instructions.

I bought the Federal + State version at the end of filing my 2024 return. As in previous years I had problems installing and updating the Mac version and the uopdates. I had to contact support each time I had do install/update my software. Support sent me a file each time so I could manually install the updates. Once everything was installed the software worked fine and I was able to. successfully file my return.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
