4 stars but I would have given 4-1/2 stars if thapt were possible. My only complaint was poor wording on the question about my required minimum disribution for retirement, versus my actual contribution. Thise actually matched thus no problem, but the wording made this impossible to enter. Thus apparent bug evidently was fixed with a last minute program change.

Supremely unhelpful tax software. You can tell they put the absolute minimum effort into this program: search barely works, the design and UX is out of 1999, and they make the actual process completely obtuse.
Really the only reason I buy it every year is because I'm lazy and have my last year tax file. I can't wait for a competitor to disrupt them.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

As usual the HR software initially stopped my e-filing of 2025 federal taxes. I managed to massage the return after that and was able to e-file. HR does not realize an RMD for IRA's. A Required Minimum Distribution is not always taxable. In fact, no where in the software is RMD mentioned. And an INHERITED IRA is the worst to deal with because the software and IRS are never on the same page.
Cons: Time consuming
I would recommend this to a friend!
