I used H&R for years prior to my husband's death. After his death, I choose to use as accountant. After finances were back to normal I came back to H&R, It is as concise as I remember. Easy to jump back to recheck your input as you work though the steps. I always do my work through 3 times. This insures that I have correctly inputted everything.

I’ve been using this software for over 10 years and this is the first year that I have been totally disappointed due to your not supporting the importing of data from my financial institution (Merrill Lynch).
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

Only one problem. The Federal interview for the foreign tax credit did not allow me to enter RIC for mutual funds. I was forced to select a country in the drop down list.
