I have used this software for years and it continues to be a sound product. The interview is straightforward and user-friendly. Navigation is excellent with links that allow the user to jump to different parts of the interview or to different forms as needed. Filing electronically is also easy.
I have two suggestions for improvements. First, updates continue to happen well into March which makes filing your return early in the tax season disconcerting. Perhaps nothing can be done about this because the law is being updated, but if that’s not the reason, it would be nice to finalize the product earlier. Secondly, as far as I can tell, the user interface of the software hasn’t been upgraded since it was initially released years ago. The only problem with this is at screen resolutions of 1920 X 1080 (typical on contemporary monitors), the text is difficult to read particularly for older eyes. Because there is no mechanism within the software to zoom or change the color scheme to a higher contrast, the user is forced to change the resolution of the monitor. Otherwise, the user interface is fine.
