Worked great when it worked

I bought this pressure washer last spring 2020 to start a project on my fence. I’ve used it several times and loved its power and convenience. Now it is fall 2021 and started to use the pressure washer to clean a car, it made a terrible grinding noise and quit working. Pretty dissatisfied with the product for the price and length of use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Aptoolman,

We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with your pressure washer. Unfortunately, your review is not detailed enough for us to know what the issue is, but we will try to cover all bases. Here you will find some troubleshooting suggestions for you to try. Cleaning Obstructed Nozzles: To clean the nozzles, soak all your nozzles in a half and half mixture of warm water and white vinegar. Soak all the nozzles for about an hour and then proceed to poke your nozzle cleaning tool or paper clip through the end of the nozzle hole to poke out any debris. After you have done this, rinse them with warm water. Your nozzles will now be free of any obstructions causing the unit to malfunction. Removing Air from The Line / Bleeding Out the Unit: Purge any excess air from the pump. Set up the unit as per usual and ensure you are not using an extension cord. Remove any nozzle that may be connected at the end of the wand. Make sure that you have a green light on the GFCI on the power cord. Turn your garden hose on but leave the pressure washer turned OFF. With the pressure washer turned off, squeeze on the trigger for about 3 minutes – allowing the water to run through the unit at no pressure. In doing so, you are bleeding the unit out of any air that may be stuck in the pump. After 3 minutes, turn the unit on. If it is running, reinstall one of your clean nozzles and continue using the unit. Lastly, ensure that the water source is fully opened and is at least 60PSI. There should be 10' of unrestricted garden hose between the hose connection and the unit, any kinks will prevent the flow of water going into the unit and prevent proper pressure. If you have tried these steps and are still experiencing issues, please contact us at 1-888-909-6757 or submit an email to info@greenworkstools.com and include the headline "Help Request - Reviewer Response".

Hello Guy24,

Sorry to hear of the issue you are experiencing with the pressure washer.
It sounds as though your nozzles may be clogged or there is some air trapped in the unit, these are common issues. With the following troubleshooting, this should be resolved! Please be sure to follow closely as these steps are not as effective when altered.
1) To clean the nozzles, soak all your nozzles in a half and half mixture of warm water and white vinegar. Soak all the nozzles for about an hour and then proceed to poke your nozzle cleaning tool or paper clip through the end of the nozzle hole to poke out any debris. After you have done this, rinse them with warm water. Your nozzles will now be free of any obstructions causing the unit to malfunction.
2) Purge any excess air from the pump.
3) Ensure that the water source is fully opened and is at least 60PSI.
4) There should be 10' of unrestricted garden hose between the hose connection and the unit, any kinks will prevent the flow of water going into the unit and prevent proper pressure.

Just ok

Generally it works ok for a 1.2 gpm pressure washer, but there are design and functional issues.
Soap dispenser never worked, in either position
Wish the grip had a lock to keep “on”
Water inlet is too low, after putting a quick-release on, in the upright position the hose touches ground. Either rotate inlet or up a bit.
Cart is a bit too large given the actual size of machinery
Wish there were incorporated reels for both the power cord and the water line, esp given the amount of open area of cart.
The elastic for water line will break one day given it is wet and stretched over metal edges.
The power cord ears are too old school vacuum cleaner style, needs power retracting.
Needs a more positive locking grip for wand storage, could provide grips for additional guns/wands
Generally ok but had higher ergonomic and functional expectations given the advertising and marketing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this a week ago to clean off the garage door, wood, and stucco. Initial setup was easy. The nozzle options were very nice to have. Cleaned off the materials just like what I was hoping for.

Brought this to replace a gas pressure washer that I had to play around with every year to get it to start. No more messing around with the carb to get it started. Performed just as well as the gas pressure washer without the yearly starting issues.
Pros: Convenient, Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Quiet, Durable, Environmentally Safe, Effective, Powerful
