Based on what you described, water flowing out of the soap (detergent) inlet is typically related to a check valve or internal injector issue. Under normal operation, that port should only draw detergent when the system is running in low-pressure mode, not allow water to exit. This can sometimes occur if there is a blockage, mineral buildup, or a worn internal valve.
A few things you can try:
Ensure you are using the correct nozzle, soap function only activates with a low-pressure (black) nozzle.
Flush the system with clean water to remove any residual detergent or debris.
Inspect the detergent inlet and hose for cracks, looseness, or buildup that may be affecting flow direction.
If the unit was exposed to freezing temperatures at any point, internal components may have been compromised, which can lead to this type of issue.
