This headlamp is awesome! We are a farming family and long time COAST customers, owning several headlamps. This headlamp exceeded my expectations. The voice control feature works very well. It's a huge help to be able to control my head lamp without touching it, as my hands are often dirty or in gloves. The variety of colors available and ability to dim is a huge perk. The battery life is long and recharges quickly. I highly recommend this head lamp!

Great Headlamp with awesome features

I got this headlamp recently and I have to tell you it is the best. I have many other Coast products, but this one is the bomb. I use a headlamp regularly. I cannot tell you how many times I have come inside, turned off my headlamp, then get outside with my hands full and now I have to put things down to turn on my headlamp.....NOT ANYMORE! This thing is great. I just push the button on the bottom, put it on, and turn it on/off, up/down, with just my voice. I don't know what I did without this headlamp till now!!!

Worth the Coast Cost

This light is small powerful and very durable. This is a second one I've gotten and I would buy another one if I had to. I would highly recommend this light it works great it does everything it's supposed to do and it's very bright you will be able to see at night. Again I will buy another one and will recommend. My flashlight of choice used to be one from a very reputable company that starts with the letter M. But, Ever since I bought my first Coast product some years back I have chosen to buy nothing but coast anytime I need some kind of portable light

Versatile Voice Activated Headlight!! Purchased this unit to replace my HL8R which is still functioning 100% after 6 years. Need it to move to new things. I jog and walk my dogs a lot during night hours, so for me it is great to activate any feature by just saying a command. Thank you Coast for the great product.

Voice Commands are Exceptionally Useful

I bought this headlamp for outdoor work, where my hands are typically in use. Although I don’t always use the Voice Commands, the feature is surprisingly accurate and useful in any situation. From turning the lamp on and off, to up and down (+/- 20%), low, high, red, blue, green, arc, flood, spot, minimum, medium and maximum.

Wow, I am shocked how good the voice control works. I was a little leery, but when I am working on my car at night, my hands are usually really greasy and/or have a tool in them. Headlamp is very bright has red green blue. I don’t need the colors but if you do, they’re awesome. I don’t care for the back compartment little bulky but gotta put the battery somewhere. It comes with a wire extender from the battery. It took me a little bit to figure out what it was for, I don’t understand why you need it but it’s there if you do. Overall, awesome headlamp first voice control one I’ve seen works flawlessly, COAST is awesome company, also I love the brightness and dim wheel very nice. You can adjust to the perfect brightness by the wheel or by voice.

Great new features

I was sent this headlight from coast to try and test for free. I really liked the voice activated features, i work as a mechanic and for me the voice activation is awesome! You have to push the button on the bottom of the lamp and it turns green letting you know that its ready to listen to your commands. When you say the commands the lamp responds right away switching to different commands from spot beam to flood is pretty quick. It makes it easy to just say what type of light you want to use and presto! You can also just use it manually and works the same. I took some pictures of outside with different settings and its lights up my backyard alot. The battery pack is a little big and has a flashing red light so you can turn on and be seen in the dark but it still comfortable wearing it for a while, you can also remove the battery pack and use a separate cable that comes with it so you can clip it to your pocket or wherever you want to making the headlamp a little lighter.

Awesome features

Just received it last week. It is awesome, love the hands free voice commands. Very bright lights in every mode. Comfortable to wear. In just one weekend it has come in very handy. I used it mostly while smoking brisket overnight and could see them like it was daylight. I have a huge backyard and this headlight lit it up very well. I highly recommend this and any Coast products.
