I like these glue sticks for kids because 1. washable (duh) and 2. the glue is visible on the paper so they know how much they are using. The price is reasonable but if you can buy in bulk there is a better discount. Of course you would use your Teacher Rewards card to get points toward the coffee maker you want to buy and hide in your desk for those long afternoons when recess is too short. I never buy one glue stick per child by the way because I want them to learn to share. One for every two children is good enough.
My six year old son and I do a lot of art projects and this stuff is great for that. Also I do layout and design collateral for the businesses I am involved with. This makes it a snap to put something together and make it professional in a hurry.

Glue sticks = not licking envelopes

I like how it starts as Purple when applied...allows me to see where I have glued...I primarily use glue sticks for sealing envelopes because I refuse to lick them...
