I bought several sets for school at the beginning of the year and they were still good for projects at the end of the year.

My son had a project of cutting out magazine pictures and pasting them to a poster board. No mess what so ever on him or my table. What a nice change from previous projects.

Sticks dry out too fast?

Great product. The only problem that I had was that they dry out too qickly if left uncapped for a short period of time.
Staples glue sticks stick paper together and work far better than the Elmer brand glue sticks. But those of us with children know how fast they run through these glue sticks. Teachers request 50 000 per classroom. Requests come in for more by December. Obviously they are eating them. Old timers remember eating paste glue. The next generation used the bottle glue to make stick-on fingernails and fingerprints. But kids today prefer individually packaged snacks. These are the perfect size! Purple is a fun color and indicates freshness. Stock up during the back to school sales because you’ll pay full price come December!
