Clasps cause higher postage

the product is good but the fact that it has the clasps on it makes it more expensive to mail. The Post Office has said that we would get a better rate if we mailed things without the clasps so we have started to do that. Without the clasps envelopes DO exist but they are way to expensive for our small business. If they were available at a decent price I'm sure we'd purchase them and go THAT way..but for now we merely remove the clasps and mail the envelopes without them..that way the Post Office gives us a better rate.

I love these for sending cards I make they send for the price of a regular postage stamp. Even if my cards have the addition of embellishments such as ribbon or buttons the price of a postage stamp sends it on the way. If my card is a bit more bulky I may have to get it hand stamped at post office but sending it is still very reasonable it would have to be quite a bit heavier to need two stamps. The six by nine size is perfect for economical sending which is great if sending out your entire Christmas card list. love them buy them by the hundred.

6" x 9" Brown Kraft Clasp Envelopes

Compared to the other envelopes of this size there was no doubt in my mind that this brand was the best value for the money. I have never had issues with the glue used to seal the envelops ans the clasps are solid and reliable. Many other brands clasps will break off when bent and the gule used to seal the envelopes is inferior and doesn't always remain closed once they have been sealed. The price should be less because you can by a full size evelope with twice the qantiy for less money.

The bottom flap was not adhered on several of the envelopes in the 100 count box.
