Cheaply Made

The 4.8 star rating that 3M wants you to see is, in fact, untrue in light of their recent debasing of this once excellent product. The vast majority of the 4.5-5.0 star ratings are 2, 3, 4, even 5 years old! For approximately 20 years, even I had insisted on no substitutions. ScotchBrite was the best, until my most recent purchase at a warehouse club facility. As soon as I held the sponge I was horrified that this once-upon-a-time wonderful product would be so downgraded by 3M. In my husband's hand this puny, cheaply constructed sheet of sponge attached to a thin layer of "scrub" material is lost. It only stands to reason, being a conglomerate, that 3M has reduced the intrinsic value of this product BUT NOT THE COST. Producing a quality product is apparently not hardwired into 3M; making "money for nothing" is.
This item is going back to the club store for a refund. I will never purchase it again & intend to advise them of the inferiority of what they are selling to their members.

Bad quality

I have used this product for many years with great satisfaction. Of late over the last 3 months I have found that the quality is definitely not the same. After a week of use the scrub part comes undone from the sponge and the product separates. This is no longer value for money and the longevity is now something of the past. I recommend better quality control. The product is no longer value for money.

Was great - now not so much

I have been using this product for several years and thought it was the best , however recently bought a box of them and they now seem to have a flat surface instead of the normal sponge surface that has the holes . Now it no longer sucks in the dish detergent instead it just lays on top causing you to end up using more soap . Will donate them to local animal shelter and buy a different product . New and unimproved !

I have bought these sponges from Costco for at least 20 years. My last pack from seemed different. The sponge doesn't last as long, and it seems to spread liquid around instead of absorbing it. I thought maybe I had a bad pack so I got a 3 pack from Target. Same problem. I am very disappointed!! Looks like I need a new sponge manufacturer!

Used to be good but now they're not

I've been using these sponges for years and like other reviewers have found that the last pack I bought has an inferior sponge material. It is thinner and has more air holes making it no good for absorption and things like wiping up the counter. I can clearly see the difference in the sponges they used to make (of which I still have a few) and the ones now. I'll be looking for a new brand unless 3M corrects this.

Not The Same. Very Dissatisfied

I have been using these non-scratch blue sponges for years. Tried and true. I was gifted some others and finally used them all and could go back toy trusty blue sponge only to find that the sponge part is basically useless now. I've used these to clean my countertops for years and find that the sponge just pushes the cleaner or water around. I now need to dry everything with a towel after.
Please go back to the old, far superior formula. These are basically garbage now.

Quality has gone WAY down

I have been using these blue sponges to wash dishes for 15+ years and the quality has been great, but in the last year I have purchased a couple packs of them and within a week or so the scratch pad part of the sponge has been coming off of the sponge part. They are completely falling apart which had not happened in the past. There is also an obvious difference in the thickness and density overall. These sponges have lost the quality they once had and I can no longer use them....dissapointing.
