This envelope held over thirty sheets of 8-1/2 x 11 paper and held up well durning mailing.

earth-friendly but not crazy about them

My boss asked me to get some 9"x 12" envelopes so when I read about the chemicals uses to make envelopes white I decided to try these instead. We're thrilled they are earth-friendly but when my boss saw them he wasn't crazy about them and grabbed one of the few remaining white ones we had instead!. I think we'll end up using avery labels in order to put legible addresses on these. They are in fact darker in color than I could tell from the online picture. I think it's worth the extra step but you'll probably want some white envelopes on hand for certain letters.

Finally Staples has introduced another 100% recycled product. I even got a box on sale for much less than the non-recycled envelopes.

I like the recycled envelopes better just because it's better for our environment so I will always purchase them first if they are available.
