Not as good as they used to be

I have used Dobies for decades; they've been my favorite dish cleaning product. Lately I've noticed that the outer mesh and inner sponge are a much lower quality than in the past. The mesh rips and shreds quickly, and the sponge either starts out thinner or compacts quickly. It doesn't hold soap well anymore. A previous response from the manufacturer mentioned that there are many factors in longevity, but I'm washing dishes the same way I have for decades. Dobies have changed (and not for the better), not my habits.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Clearly something is going on. On multiple occasions, the sponge thins out, almost like they are just the mesh and no actual sponge inside. I have always used them, but since this is about the 4th sponge that has done this, I've switched brands. There is no quality to them anymore. I wish I had saved one to add a picture but I'm not about to waste another penny on them. Good bye old friend.

Great for Scrubbing!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Dobie pads for more years than I can remember. In the last year, the quality of this product has deteriorated. In the past, I have tried generic or store brand cleaning pads, but always came back to this product. Will probably switch to the store brand as there is no value in purchasing this product. How sad that they lower quality to make more money.

Not good any more...

I used to love these until they started making them so that they fall apart in a week. The store made brand is much better now and lasts like the old Dobie used to. What a shame to ruin such a great product.

Quality issue persists!

I echo previous reviews provided over the past few years. I too have used Dobie pads for many, many years. Over the past few years, however, I have had the same problem described by others. In the past, Dobie pads used to last for weeks with regular daily use, now I can now only get a few uses from them before the shredding occurs. I have tried purchasing these on several occasions over the past few years at different stores, even in different cities, each time hoping the quality issue was resolved but to no avail.. Obviously Scotch Bright is aware this is happening and has chosen not to fix the problem. Sadly, I will no longer purchase these since they are now just a waste of money.

disintegrating easily

I grew up using these as a child and they had been my favorite since. I purchased a large package of them in April and find that the sponge is incredibly thin and seems to disintegrate within 1-2 weeks. The mesh is also poor quality and easily wears out. Greatly disappointed in the current quality.
I do not own a dishwasher or microwave and have not boiled the product.

What happened to Dobie Pads

My wife and I have used Dobie pads for years and were always happy with them. In the past year or so the pads are lasting less and less. The attached photo shows one after only two days of use, Guess I need to buy something different.
