When are you changing it back!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As others who have given reviews I have been using Dobie pads my whole life as my mom uses them also. I'm very unhappy with the performance of this product. I don't know how long ago you decide to change the materials but they are horrible. it only takes a few uses for it to completely fall apart. I loved the original Dobie pads and would encourage you to return to higher quality materials. I have purchased the pads several times in hopes of finding the original product. I just don't feel it's worth it anymore and I'm tired with dealing with the inferior product. I may have to switch to something different. Please find better quality materials. This website will not let me choose any other option then yes on received free product. I did not receive a free product and I can only answer yes.

3M puts profits over products…and we pay

I can’t believe what you are packaging and selling to us after being so reliable for years (as witnessed by the dates on the 5-star reviews.). The first time it happened, I thought maybe someone had used the sponge with an abrasive cleaner. Then it happened to the other two…maybe a bad box, I thought. Then it happened with a new box. I took one out of the box today and only used a little dawn on it to clean an all clad sauce pan that had been used to heat chicken soup…not a difficult clean up and it already has a hole. I had two boxes in my closet, so I took them all out to inspect them. Well lo and behold there are divots in them when they are packaged. See attached photos. You will notice one even has a green speck of something…who knows what. I would like to be reimbursed for 4 boxes of Dobie sponges. I will go through my online grocery receipts and get the exact prices for you if necessary. Send me a postage paid return envelope and you can have 2 used and 5 unused sponges back.
After the pandemic, so many companies took advantage of us with smaller packages, fewer sheets per roll, etc., AND higher prices. I wondered if they didn’t think we would notice or if they thought we’d just be so grateful for any products at all they could “capitalize” and puff up their profits up. I never expected it from 3M. I wonder if it’s the same situation in the healthcare market…

More changes for the worse :(

I have been using these for YEARS. Just went to replenish my supply and so disappointed to see the packaging changed and the color! The mesh is now a very loud yellow. The white was so much more peaceful looking. Why do companies insist on messing with stuff that AIN’T BROKE?!?! Are they bored? Is someone trying to keep their job relevant? I will never understand it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have recently been on an obsessive cleaning kick and I bought these due to the texture and cleaning potential and they are HEAVEN!!!! They make an amazing and decent lasting lather. While the netting does catch food, a good rinse will clear that out. It does hold the color of whatever you're cleaning (burnt food, red sauces, dark grease) but as long as you run the sponge in the dishwasher regularly or hand wash it with dish soap it will not gain a smell. I have had my particular set of 2 (though i only need one at a time) going on two months now and I absolutely, absoLUTEly will not ever buy, or need, an other product than this one. It scrubs when I need it to (Im talking burnt on mess on stainless steel heavy duty), wipes when I need it to (glasses, china, counters), and still can get those tricky corners (brownie pans anyone?) without extreme effort and makes my OCD so very very happy that I am satisfied I have the ultimate clean with these. The netting is extremely durable as long as you take care not to cut it on a knife like I did but DOES NOT scratch anything! I have used this on everything from stainless steel to nonstick to glass, china, and plastic. There is absolutely no other product for me. If I could marry these, I would.

Quality in other countries is better than what is

I bough this same product in India being sold by 3M only though it is available in blue color there but surprised to i=understand that the quality of this product which is being sold in US is much inferior than the one being sold in INDIA.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love Dobie!!

I have been using Dobie for quite a while and will continue to do so! I absolutely love how rough it is on burnt on food, but soft enough not to scratch your pans or dishes! it suds up so well and holds the suds in every scrub! It will last a long time. I LOVE to use them in the bathroom as well. I have found they are the best sponge for the bathtub. They are so good at getting soap scum off! I always have a stash of Dobie sponges-currently have 9! And I always keep one at my sink! I will be a life long fan and buyer of Dobie sponges! Thanks Dobie for working hard at making my job easier! I did not receive free stuff to give review!

If I notice that a Dobie has shrunk or changed shape, I find that it is due to using bleach. Bleach dissolves sponge material.
But even so, I keep on using bleach to clean most surfaces, and I wash the Dobie in the white wash with bleach. The damage is slight, and the cleanliness is seriously improved. Scouring powder like Ajax also contains bleach.
Don't let the Dobie get in the clothes dryer or the dry cycle of the dishwasher.

Damage to the net cover can be caused by washing a knife blade with the sharp side facing the mesh, or by using the Dobie to clean a really rough surface like a bird bath basin or a kid's wagon or bike. I used a Dobie one time to clean a friend's small flagstone area (Don't ask!), but I knew in advance that this job would eat up the Dobie.

Was a really great product...until now.

I have been using Dobies exclusively for years. I love them! I hand wash all my dishes and Dobies have always lasted several weeks... until right now. The last box I bought got holes in them immediately. I purchased another box because I figured I had just gotten a bad batch. The picture below is a pad that I opened last night. I am in the middle of using this pad for the second time and it has developed holes already. I am so upset that I stopped doing dishes to write this review. What has happened to your product???
