Once upon a time a great product, not anymore.

What has happened to this product? We have used them over the period of many, many years and as time goes on we try the newer, fancier pads but always come back to the Scotch Brite Dobie, once a very good product (5 star). I must have had 6 boxes of them in the cabinet. We started using them again and they are terrible. They completely flatten out after only a few days use or the inside of the pad clumps together at one end of it. So sad to see a good product go this way. We have returned all the boxes we had.

You changed your manufacturing process or material

I've been using Dobies for decades. The change in the mesh portion of the product has become increasingly obvious. Used to be weeks before a hole wore in the mesh. Now it's a few uses. Put it back to the way it was please. I'll pay a little more for it. If I have to look for another product, it won't be 3M, I promise.

Decreasing quality/increasing price

I have used these for years and even thought the price has increased the quality is decreasing. I bought a pack last week and they didn't last one wash and the seam on one end opened up and the scrubber was useless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dobie scrubbers have been my favorite for years, but now the outer scrubby cover tears easily and it's very frustrating to try to keep it on the sponge. Please look into this and go back to a more sturdy and reliable scrubby cover.

Defective, unfortunately

I have been using Dobies since the 60s. Unfortunately, the last 3 boxes I've bought (each have 3 pads in them) have all had the mesh slashed within a week of using them---it's as if I slashed them with a knife myself!, which I did not. I am just cleaning dishes as always. Clearly, there is inferior meshing being used because it has fallen apart (cut, slashed) on every Dobie I've used out of the last 12. I thought maybe I had old boxes and it deteriorated but I just bought two new boxes and they did the same thing! Someone needs to look into this. I can't buy one more and just throw it away.

No longer the “original” Dobie of 50+ years!

I have used and recommended the Scotch-Brite Dobie for 50+ years. Now the Dobie is made with inferior materials and falls apart with holes after one or two uses! I would pay more for the “original” Dobie! Otherwise, you’ve lost a loyal customer and I will never recommend the Dobie again!

What happened to this product?

My wife and I have been using Dobie pads for the 51 years of our marriage. I do most of the dishwashing and dishwasher loading and was always impressed with how well they worked and how long they lasted. That is, UNTIL the last year or so. They are now a very inferior product. The mesh wears out and gets holes in it within a matter of days and after 2 or so weeks have to be thrown away. We went from getting 3-6 months use out of one pad, to getting a week or two if we're lucky. After over 50 years of being loyal, happy customers we are searching for alternatives. And BTW, the price didn't change, but the quality sure did!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used Dobie Pads forever and a day, Nothing better to do my dishes with. I actually use the for all my cleaning needs.
