Tape Gun does not cut the tape

I have bought two of these and neither of them will cut the tape when pressed fully against the box.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Would not buy, returning to store tomorrow

I bought this product today to assemble packing boxes for upcoming move. I could not get the dispenser to cut the tape that came with the dispenser. Pushing against box and twisting wrist did not work, had to cut with scissors. Total pain!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Design is Flawed

Its a sturdy gun but the blade does not extend out far enough to cut the tape. If you press it against the box you could end up cutting into the box itself. The product should have been better tested.

Avoid at all costs

I'm moving and bought a new tape gun to expedite the process. This has actually made it more difficult. As everyone else has said, this DOES NOT CUT TAPE. Either 3m tested this with junk tape or they're hoping the blade will somehow caress the tape apart. Easily and literally the worst tape gun I've used in my life.

Horrible

I have had many functional dispensers over the years. This is not one of them. It is frustrating, doesn't work at all and you need scissors and an extra hand to get the tape

Terrible, won't cut tape

Will not cut tape, horrible design, do not buy. I've tried watching videos on how to make this thing work and it doesn't help. Blade doesn't come out far enough to cut the tape. Awful design

Unfortunately for me I did not check reviews before purchasing this dispenser. I thought it would be better than the one I had, but much to my dismay it was not! No matter how I try to cut the tape it does not cut, merely puts dents in my boxes and then I have to use scissors. I don't like it at all. I hope the next person thinking about buying this dispenser reads these reviews first.
