Worst Tape Dispenser I have ever used

I bought this a couple weeks ago and it does not cut the tape at all. The tape that came with it is so thin it sticks together but that’s not what I am reviewing here. This dispenser is the worst because of the safety blade. It is sunk in so far it won’t come out enough to cut the tape off! I’m gonna trash it and search for an older model that works! With a name like Scotch you would think it would be great! Save your money and pass this one by.

Terrible Gun with No Cutting Technology

The gun is terrible, you might as well have a pair of scissors by your side to cut the tape as you go. Don't buy the gun, save yourself the frustration/headache.

The blade does not cut tape

I bought this yesterday thinking it was going to make taping boxes a lot easier, but I might as well just stick to scissors. The blade on this does not cut through the tape, it just gives it a light scratch, which renders the product useless.

This is the worst packing tape dispenser. The tape is nearly impossible to cut. It was not cheap, and total waste of my hard earned money. Shame on you.

I hate this dispenser

This is the first inanimate object that has successfully gaslit me. I thought I was just a moron for wasting yards of tape not being able to cut until I saw everyone else had the same problem. Save yourself hassle and keep a pair of scissors handy when using this.

Thanks very much for taking away the functionality of this dispenser. Integrating a safety to protect idiots has made this tape gun ridiculously annoying. If you cut yourself with a tape dispenser, hopefully that's a lesson you only have to learn once. If you learn it again, you probably deserve it. I miss when products weren't designed for the lowest common denominator.

Waste of money!

After buying this dispenser to replace a great older one I had for years, I was thoroughly disappointed and had to use scissors to cut the tape! What to do with 3 large rolls of replacement tape when this dispenser is going in the trash! :(

Great Product if Your Aim is Wasting Lots of Tape

Everytime I tighten the tension knob (so that the tape won't just coming and coming), within a few more 'tapings' it's completely loose again and the tape just keep coming out forever and ever no matter how hard I try to cut it off. (You had one job, tension knob!) Everything sucks, but luckily China (and 3M CEO) are (more than) OK. Phew.
