This "clam shell" shaped chair mat is perfect for use at my L shaped desk. It provides ample maneuverability both front to back and side to side. This one is 54" x 60" and is just the right size. They make a larger version of this but it would have been overkill. I use this at my office which has low/medium pile carpet and my chair rolls around just fine. I definitely would not use this on a higher pile carpet as the casters on your chair would create dimples in the mat and make it hard to roll around.

I weight about 210. The matt is very soft and dents at the chair wheels making it a bit of a struggle to get out of the indentations to roll the chair around. I had a much less expensive standard shape and type matt previously that lasted about 2 plus years that was more rigid allowing you to effortlessly roll around. It ultimately cracked with time but I preferred being able to roll around more easily.

We have a corner dedk and it is hard to find this shape mat. Only on Staples and we purchased. What a wonderful buy! It is a good thickness and we have ours on a berber style carpet depth. What a special surprise as we could get it delivered the next day! We live in a rural area and this delivery beats Prime delivery hands down! Thank you Staples!

This replaced an older mat that was starting to crack. The dimensions on this made it seem like it might be too large but even though it is bigger it fit with no clearance issues. This is probably due to its shape which is more triangular as opposed to the round shape of the old one. The only negative is that we would have preferred a beveled edge where this one is square cut.

Leaves indentations all over the pad rendering it nearly useless. The indentations make it difficult to roll around. I would never buy this product again and I do not recommend it to anyone. I'd like a refund.
