I have an "L shape" desk and have been using the standard rectangular shape with "tongue" on one end. These had to be inserted under the desk at an angle and often had to be cut to fit better and covered most but not all of the floor area used for chair movement. I thought I would try this modified pie shape. I had to insert two sides a little under each side of the desk but it worked great. The pad covers the entire floor area subject of my chair movement left right back and forward. The thickness and pliability of the mat is very similar to the rectangular mats I had been using; so I don't anticipate that this mat will last much longer than the rectangular mat but it is bigger and looks much nicer. The negative is that this mat is substantially more expensive than the rectangular mats and if it did not work so well I would not be giving this 5 star rating. So overall price not withstanding I am very satisfied with this large pie shaped floor mat.

Not worth the money

Perfect size for the "L" shaped desk but it is at best a flimsy product that is way over priced. Do not purchase with the limited manufacturers warranty in mind. At best expect less than a year of use. Our carpet and pad is about 1/2" thick on top of c concrete slab so this should be ideal and never break apart but it does so quickly.
