I've owned this for a few years and rarely did this gadget work right. Usually it is difficult to engage the blade so dispenses way too much tape; the gets tangled; and makes tape stick to itself. I was hoping to find instructions on the internet but instead found this review page where others have had the same experience so maybe there really are issues with this gadget and not with this consumer. There should at least be arrow instructions on this thing but there are not. It's a frustrating tool.

Not worth the $2 you save...

The handle comes loose and it's almost impossible to tighten it. The sponge handle also gets so dirty and dry and is now falling apart. I'm trashing the one I have and getting a better quality item.

Am disappointed w/product b/c the handle becomes loose & wobbly & unstable after 2-3 months use. I am unable to tighten the handle w/a screwdriver or phippip's head b/c screw head is flat & cannot be tighten which forces me to have to purchase another one!!! I have purchased several this year already. I am looking for a better quality one which staples does not have.

I bought this for a move and have been very happy with the quality and durability. I've used it on something like 50 boxes and it is still working very well and reliably. It is easy to change out the roles and very easy to apply tape to a lot of boxes without the tape getting stuck back to the role or having difficulty cutting the tape. The foam grip is nice as well makes it easier and more comfortable to hold.

We used the product to securely close boxes for shipping. the porduct made taping a breeze.
