It took me a long time to get the tape loaded into the dispenser because the directions were not clear. Once I finally figured it out the dispenser worked fine. I would recommend this product but get those directions improved.

Most difficult 2" dispenser I have used

I have owned and used some half dozen 2" tape dispensers. This model does not want to cooperate with me. The tape sticks to itself frequently but the worst problem is that it sticks to the silver metal piece and has to be ripped from it using both hands to get the tape started. This results in torn tape wrinkled tape wasted tape and tape not being applied to where it should go............on the box!! I ordered a cheaper replacement from Staples that had better reviews.
