Would be great if handle was longer

Replaces a lost dispenser which had a retracting blade and was simply better built. The padded handle is comfortable but causes a loss of stability.

Tape dispense

I couldn't get the tape to start rolling on it's own as it kept sticking to the metal guide bar. The serrated tear off "worked" but it wasn't the smoothest of operations. I am considering returning the device. I had a 3M dispenser which I lost which was a lot smoother and was better balanced than the Staples brand. I don't think the padded handle would wear well especially when packing lots of boxes where the dispenser would be dropped and kicked around. Again the 3M handle was heavy plastic and withstood heavy use without any signs of wear.
