This tape holder/dispenser is horrible. I have cut myself twice on the blade that cuts the tape which is an act of God to get it to work! Will never purchase this brand again.

This is _so_ much easier to use than those dinky little plastic frames!! And when you consider the quantity of tape that comes included it's really very little more expense even at the time of first purchase. Well made well done.

Overall quality is fine but the blade is pretty dull and has a hard time ripping through non-generic tape. If you get this and generic Staples tape it should keep together for a couple of rolls

"The cheap man pays the most." For a recent move we had two dispensers going - this Staples dispenser and a more heavy-duty one. This dispenser was clunkier to use and came unthreaded from time to time. This dispenser would do fine in an office setting for a package or two at a time. If you are taping boxes for hours on end spring for a sturdier model.
