It there a trick to it? No matter which way you put the tape on it sticks to one side or the other. Spend a lot of time fighting with it.

Ok but no instructions for tape install

I haven't used these before so it's difficult to compare. It did not come with instructions and was not easy trying to figure out how to install the tape. I had to google it. Seems to work ok. Used it to package up a box for shipping. Tape wasn't very smooth but that could be the user.

No directions on pkg so I went back to Staples for instructions by salesperson. He had trouble also but worse of all after he got it going I still can't use it & the tape hangs & sticks to everything else it lays next to. I hate this gizmo

Just about got everything right

Nice padded grip and the tape cutter works well. But more often than not after cutting you will need to re-position the tape because the small sprung metal tape holder is so loose that it does not hold the tape in postion against the plastic wheel.

not clear how to use it correctly

I have never used one of these before. I figured out how to thread it (confirmed by the instructions on the item page) but I don't think I'm using it correctly I still need to use my other hand to get the cutting edge to cut the tape. Staples should post use instructions maybe with a slow-motion video. It's still a lot better than cutting the tape with a scissors would be though and I can say that the grip is very comfortable.
