I needed a tape dispenser and didn't want to spend a ton of money so this generic one was perfect. The padded handle was a bonus.

It there a trick to it? No matter which way you put the tape on it sticks to one side or the other. Spend a lot of time fighting with it.

not worth the money

This was purchased as a tool yet it came with no diagram as to how to load the tape and does not work efficiently at all. The tape gets stuck on the metal plate and does not roll out. Very dissatisfied using a pair of scissors two hands and the roll of tape again.
This is a well made tape dispenser for use on boxes. I had to modify it by cutting off the plastic piece so it could be used to cut off just 3" of tape at a time. I don't know if there is a better dispenser for this purpose but to wrap boxes this one work great.

This is one of the worst tape guns I have ever seen. I bought online from pictures and description to replace a tape gun that broke after 20+ years of faithful service (it was dropped). I will be surprised if this new tape gun lasts a month... dropped or not.

A Step Back

Like the cushioned grip but the metal spring that holds the tape is too tight so the tape does not flow easily. You have to push it out of the way and feed the tape using two hands.

Design flaw on the tear

It was OK enough - I liked the comfort grip on the handle but something about the way the tape actually dispenses makes it shift sideways on the tear and stick to itself. Highly annoying and not ultimately useful.
