Not the greatest tape gun

I had a different tape gun that I loved but couldn't find it. Bought this in a pinch as I was moving and needed it for packing. I bet I spent more time trying to fix the tape to roll through properly. I wasted a ton of tape and was extremely frustrated by how much time I had to deal with fixing it. Next time I'll buy an industrial brand.

When it works the dispenser does what it supposed to. Unfortunately it's inconsistent when cutting the tape. Sometimes it will cut sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't you're left with an extra foot of tape you don't need and a sticky mess. Funny thing is I had a more expensive scotch dispenser and basically did the same thing. Maybe tape dispenser design might need updating.
