We needed an extra tap gun for our warehouse. I thought for the price it must be really good. It was terrible. The tape twisted and wasn't easy to cut.

I couldn't even use this thing! The dispenser itself is poorly designed and the tape is terrible. Just buy a little 3M one.

I have seen comments on tape guns like this saying the tape gun doesn't cut the tape. Initially I found that true for this one also: instead of cutting the tape it would just let out another foot or two. The tape would also fall off the holder. Two fixes: 1. Tightening the the tension adjustment solved the problem with not cutting tape. It takes significant hand and arm strength but works fine. 2. A couple wraps of cloth gaffers tape around the tape holder keeps the tape spool on the holder more securely. Duct tape would probably also work well but I think the gaffers tape works well at least in part because it isn't slippery - grips the spool well.
