Bring back the square sponge!

This new, wavy sponge does not fit in one's hand properly. And it is more difficult to wring out. Not certain why Scotch Brite felt the need to change the design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Have they changed materials

Seems of been changed, perhaps it’s composed of different materials. Does not seem as heavy duty as before. Most of the cleaning items purchased are Scotch brite( MMM ). Its getting harder to find alot of items. Pandemic??? I Have been looking for a scotch brite floor mop for my hardwood floors. I have the old model and you don't make the mop heads anymore. I was hoping the new model was as good as the old model. Definitely was my favorite cleaning apparatus. Looked every where Wally world, Jewel Osco, Menards and the list goes on.. I loved my old scotch brite floor mop for cleaning but if no one has it I guess I have to try another brand.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor quality on wave-shaped sponge!

I have used this sponge for decades. Suddenly the rectangle gets replaced with the wave shape. One sponge used to last me about three weeks. The wave shape is lasting about 3 days. It is thinner and much less dense. Sadly, I will have to look for another brand.

Still very poor qualty

I have the same problems with these Scotch Brite Heavy Duty scrub sponges in Canada as reported here 4 years ago thinking it was due to a Canadian manufacturing issue. Now I can see this a long standing and similar problem that is not just here in Canada. We have been and using Scotch Brite kitchen sponges for decades, I do not what happened but they just literally fall apart in 5-7 days - is this 3M's planned obsolescence strategy to sell more product? Or are you just trying to kill this product line.

Not the sponge that I used for decades

I used Scotch-Brite scrub sponges for decades. Loved 'em. The perfect sponge shape and lasted for a long time. The biggest thing wrong with these new-design sponges is the shape. I'm sure you guys love how "easy they are to hold in your hand" (?), but I don't use them to clean my hands. I use them to clean pots, pans, containers, and dishes--of all different shapes, and this new design messes up what used to be a totally easy process. The sponge no longer "fits" with cleaning kitchenware simply and easily. I'll use up what I have as quickly as possible and never buy them again (unless you wise up and bring back the older and better design).

Bad idea

I'm not sure how ling ago you changed the shape from a rectangular shape to an "s" shape, but I hate it. I've been searching for a source for the old sponge, but I guess you stopped making them. I tried store brand standard shaped sponges, but the materials are inferior. The shape makes whatever I'm doing more difficult. I think someone really dropped the ball here. IF a new shape was inevitable, you curved it in the opposite direction that is intuitive to me and my uses. There is a reason every other sponge has the traditional rectangular shape. Do you still offer the straight sided version or is it gone forever?

Cost cutting.. Now 40% less sponge

I've been buying these 3M sponges for 15 years. I could tell immediately when I opened a new package that the sponge was a LOT thinner in my hand. They don't work as well (less sponge to soak up liquid) and the green layer separates from the sponge at the corners. Junk product now. I'm not buying anymore 3M anything.

The quality of this sponge has been changed.

The quality of this product seemed not as good as it in five years ago. Right now the surface of the heavy duty scrub sponges are very easy to become cotton-like surface. It usually took less than one week, the surface is worn away. Not sure you are design it on purposes to avoid the sponges scratching certain types of surfaces? Hope you can make the quality of this sponges to be used a little longer.
