Problem

I have benn using scotch brand all my life, specially the sponges but I have notice a couple of years ago that they become bad smelling after the second or third use. I use them to wash my dishes. I used the microwave trick, cleaning them in clorine, squezzing them very hard to keep them as dry as possible, no luck. I remember they use to last a lot without that bad germ or humid odor. Please do something. What happenned?

THE SCOTCH BRITE HEAVY DUTY SPONGE HAS BEEN A FAVORITE OF MINE FOR MANY YEARS. I KEEP TWO SPONGES BY MY SINK AT ALL TIMES. ONE FOR MY DISHES AND ONE FOR COUNTERS, QUICK WIPE UPS ON THE FLOOR AND AROUND THE HOUSE. I CUT A CORNER OF THE SPONGE SO THAT I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE AND ROTATE WITH A NEW SPONGE WHEN NEEDED. i HAVE EVEN BEEN KNOWN TO BRING THIS SPONGE WHEN VISITING FRIENDS AND RELATIVES. I LOVE THE SPONGE (I DON'T LIKE NYLON SPONGES)AND THE SCRUB PART IS BETTER THAN ANY OTHER THAT I HAVE TRIED.

This is a great sponge to scrub off things that are sticking to my stainless steel pots and pans yet gentle enough not to scratch them!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my favorite sponge, and the only one I use in my kitchen. When it gets too old for dishes, I use it to clean the sink and stove before replacing it with a new one.

Disappointed....

I have never owned a dishwasher (never wanted to) and have used these sponges for what seems like decades to wash dishes and they have never failed me. But within the last few months or longer I have noticed that they seem to be thinner and fall apart more easily. I have to replace then more frequently than usual. I have been a faithful user but now I am reconsidering my options.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

not good at all

I recently bought a pack of Scotch Brite heavy duty sponges and was shocked at what I saw. Parts of the green scrub tore away and turned the water it touched the bright color of lemonade. Never ever buying from this brand again.

Something Changed- Not heavy duty anymore

We used to love and buy Scotch Brite heavy Duty sponges exclusively. Will will not be purchasing them anymore, as it is obvious that the makeup of the green scrubber portion has changed recently and barely holds up any more. After relatively minimal use it starts to degrade, and is not able to clean as well as the previous green pad part. Sad day for Scotch Brite- why change when you had such a good thing going?
