I know I'll get the job done right with scotch-brite because I don't have to worry about pieces of the sponge falling off or deteriorating away. No matter what the job I'll make it through in one piece!

Excellent for a new home owner

I recently purchased a house that was formerly rented out to 4 frat college guys and wow!! did i have some cleaning to do...this sponge got everything that was dried on the back of the sink counters, under the counters, everything that was a mess stuck on cabinets and counters dried and hardened for gosh knows how long. My kitchen is now pristine...thank you

Used to be good - what happened to Anti-Bacterial?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These used to be terrific sponges, but then they took out the Anti-bacterial, now they last less than a week before going mildewy.
It's good news for 3M as they sell more sponges because you have to throw them out more often, but bad news for the consumer because the sponges don't last as long.
Or was the anti-bacterial agent considered a health risk because it was transmitted to the eating utensils?

We have not removed the anti-bacterial agent from our product and it is still added into the sponge matrix as we manufacture it. We just stopped advertising it on the package after we found that consumers were looking for more product usage information. We do not expect our sponges to acquire a mildew smell after a short period of usage time like you have experienced. Therefore we would like to send you some replacements along with a postage paid label to send samples of the ones you have back to our Quality Control for analysis. Please call us at 1-800-846-8887. Nothing quite does the job when cleaning the flavor bars of my gas grill. A Scotch Brite scrub sponge and a little elbow grease cleans them right up!

heavy duty scrub sponge

I have been using scotch brite scrub sponges for many years. I rely on them when ever I clean anything. The sponge side is great for anything you do not want to scratch and the scrub side is wonderful on stainless steel or even soft enough for teflon type pots and pans. I would use nothing else.

Every since i tried the scotchbrite scrub sponges i REFUSE to buy any other. The scrubber side of the sponge is very versatile! It is gentle enough for glasses and dishes and tough enough for heavy duty scrubbing. The sponge side outlasts every other sponge i ever owned. These are the only scrubber/sponge that it is my house and I do believe that this is truly the BEST sponge on the market. I ALWAYS have and ALWAYS will recommend it to all my friends and family.
