Scotch - Heavy Duty Scrub Sponges

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Heavy duty scrub sponges clean tough messes and have more scrubbing power. The sponges clean non-coated cookware, grill racks and oven racks to a shine. I use the sponge in the kitchen and my husband uses the sponge in the outside areas such as the tools and cleaning the surfaces of the concrete. 3M gave me a free sample of this product to evaluate.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cutting costs

My family and I were all committed to this product, purchasing it for ourselves as well as for our business. It was always worth spending the extra money to have a product that was durable and lasted so much longer than other brands.
However there has been a huge change, perhaps it’s composed of different materials to cut production costs. It’s as if they start decomposing within days of initial use. The yellow sponge breaks down and actually separates in pieces going down the drain. I sincerely request that you please revert back
to the old sponges or I’m afraid you will lose many of your loyal customers.

Very poor quality after change to S shape.

It was the most reliable product of 3M before change to S shape. The old rectangular shape product was superb! Heavy-duty in deed that can be used for 3 months at least. The new S shape in comparison is a complete different product. It scrub piece will separate from the sponge after 3 days use and dissolved. Here is an old rectangular shape after 9 month of use v.s. a new S after 9 days. Incredible how poor the quality is now. I know 3M need to reduce the cost but also pay attention to the quality please!

Scotch Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponges

I have been buying Scotch Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponges for years. I always bought the 6 pack because it was more economical. They were always so much better and lasted so much longer than the cheap kind. UNTIL NOW . . . . . I recently bought a new package and was amazed at 1) how cheaply they are now made, nothing like the old ones and 2) how expensive for an inferior product.
I won't be purchasing them again. I emailed them about the sponges, and shared my total disgust with them.
You may as well save your money and buy the cheaply made ones. These feel weird, not soft like the old ones and the scrubber strip is stiff and unyielding. NOT worth the money anymore. It's too bad, they were the best at one time.

Something only the Green scrub side does!

I lovvvvve these sponges for cleaning the house, because they not only of course are tough enough to scrub a bathtub or tile floor clean, they are great on gently scrubbing marks off the painted white walls without ruining the finish,
and most amazingly ---- its the only type of scrubber that reacts with metals in a way that all others do not -- when I use it to scrub the sink drain ring at teh bottom of sinks and tubs, it removes all the tarnish in seconds!
No other scrubby does it that way. I truly think there is some chemical reaction that happens because its so fast! So that is what makes these sponges with the green backing so special to me!

I have been using the scotch Brite Heavy Duty Kitchen Scourers for as long as I can remember. The last couple of packs that I have purchased have been a problem. The scourers have been detaching from the sponges after three or four uses for no reason. I am very disappointed especially as they have become so costly. This is the barcode for the latest pack which I purchased 6001340489580.

Disappointed

I bought new sponges yesterday, and the first one fell apart during the first load of dishes....I was hoping it was a fluke, threw it away and started using the second sponge....it is also now falling apart....definitely not heavy duty :-(

What happen to this sponge!

I always buy these sponges but this last batch looks dirty as soon as I used it and it looks like the green is coming through the yellow. I only used it to wash dishes, nothing that would cause this. Very strange and disappointed.
