It's affordable and looks nice and I like that the pitcher is glass, but I think because it is pretty flat on the bottom and not conically shaped, there are still always chunks of banana and or peanut butter in my smoothies. The food does not get forced down into the blades. Doesn't matter what speed I put it on I get chunks of food. Bad pitcher design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the new blender jar as it does a better job that our 20 year old model mixing drinks however the new motor is way too LOUD! We are actually using the old motor with a timer and the new blending bowl and it works great.

We ordered this one the same day our old one died. The cord in the old unit jammed and ruined the electric supply to the unit. We leave the cord extended on the new one. It’s better to have the cord show than wreck the unit trying to hide the cord inside.
