After a few uses stoped working. Stinks like a dead fish after plugging it in the outlet. Don’t know if we just got a defective one or what but ours is horible.

Cusinart smart power blender

I bought this a few years ago and I just started using it but why do I have to hold the button when I’m making something it won’t make anything unless I’m holding the button it’s not automatic it’s manual and I’m not happy

I am extremely disappointed with this blender. I had the same model for years, loved it, and expected the same awesome experience when I purchased it again - I gave the old one to my son. The power on this SmartPower is not up to par. To mix chocolate milk and finely chopped ice I need to put it on "liquify". It used to work on the "stir" function. Even on stir, the chocolate is not mixed. I'm very, very, very, very disappointed. The best thing is the glass jar. Easy to wash.

Our previous blender was thirty years old and we are quite happy with this new blender. I especially like the added weight of the glass as it helps stabilize the blender when in use, especially when blending harder chuncks.

Lots of power, seriously liquidfied a whole lemon, skin seeds and all. Easy to turn up and down. Only wish there was 2 sealing gaskets instead of one, I tend to loose things. Easy clean up, watch the blade is extremely sharp, I clean the blade with blender running with a drop of soap and a cup of water, I don't have a dishwasher, works like a snap. I do like this blender very much. You don't always need the most expensive blender this works awesome. It's a keeper.

First of all, this Cuisinart is beautiful to look at! The silver chrome and black combine to make an impressive appliance on my kitchen counter.
However, I am finding that a) it's too heavy for these 70 year old arthritic hands. Picking it up after mixing and pouring the contents of my smoothie into a cup is tricky. It's NOT lightweight. The second criticism is that it does NOT completely blend up cut pieces of fruits, even soft ones like mangoes and strawberries. I've tried the "mix" setting and the "liquefy" setting and it doesn't make a difference. I guess I'll have to try "grind" and "ice" next. But it seems to me a blender this powerful ought to do a better job of disintegrating small pieces of fruit (that HAVE been defrosted).
